What we collect

Early-access signups: your email address and, if you share it, your role. That's all we hold on to, and we only use it to reach out about access.

Your production material: when you use the app, the notes, documents, photos and voice memos you upload are processed to build your outline, storyboards, schedule and pre-pro book. Your material is yours. We don't sell it, publish it, or use it to market to anyone.

How generation works

Fieldnotes uses third-party AI services to do its work. Today that's Anthropic (Claude) for reading and structuring your documents, and Google (Gemini) for rendering storyboard frames. Relevant parts of your uploaded material are sent to those services to generate your results, under their API terms. We don't permit our providers to train on your content via these APIs.

Cast and crew photos

If you upload photos of real people (your cast, your crew), you confirm you have the right to use them. They're used solely to render your production's storyboards and populate your pre-pro book. Nothing else.

Sharing your pre-pro book

A pre-pro book link is meant for your crew. Anyone you send it to can view what's in it, so share it like you would a call sheet. Deliberately.

Cookies & analytics

The marketing site uses no tracking cookies today. If that changes, this page will say so plainly before it does.

Deleting your data

Use the contact form and we'll remove your signup and any production data we hold. No hoops.

Terms, briefly

Fieldnotes is in private beta: things will change, occasionally break, and improve fast. The service is provided as-is while we build.

You keep all rights to the material you upload and to the outputs generated for your production. Don't upload material you don't have the right to use, and don't use the service to harm people or break the law.

We may update these terms as the product matures; meaningful changes will be flagged to beta users by email.

This page is a plain-language summary while Fieldnotes is in beta. A full policy will accompany the public launch. Questions? Get in touch.
